Project overview:

The Bells Creek Arterial Road is being developed in three major stages spanning 10 years, with a total project value of $115 million. The first section runs between Caloundra Road and the northern section of the Aura development. The subsequent southern sections of the road will eventually connect to the Bells Creek / Roys Road interchange on the Bruce Highway.

Shadforth secured the contract to deliver the first stage, involving the construction of a new 2.8km section of the two-lane road, extending south from the Caloundra Roundabout (near the Sunshine Coast Turf Club) through to the Aura Development Area and linking up to Bellavista Boulevard near Bells Reach.

During the construction of the road, existing vegetation between adjacent properties and the road corridor were retained. An acoustic barrier along a section of the road was also constructed to attenuate road noise.
